What is DUSA?
The Society of Daughters of the U.S. Army (DUSA) was founded in 1928 with the purpose of enabling Army Daughters to maintain and renew early friendships, and to celebrate and continue the traditions and customs of Army life. It is headquarted in Washington, DC and had six chapters nationwide, including the chapter here at Fort Bragg.
Who may join?
A woman may join DUSA if she is the daughter, granddaughter, stepdaughter or adopted daughter of a career commissioned or warrant officer of the United States Army.
What does the Fort Bragg chapter do?
We meet on the third Thursday of each month, usually for coffee or lunch. Largely a social organization, we also raise money through the sale of note cards, prints and cookbooks at the Buy and Bragg and the Yule Mart. Each year we donate a scholarship through the OSC program, and we also give money to various other causes.
What does it cost to join?
Dues are $15 per year, plus an initial $2 initiation fee.
Why should I join?
Because you’ll enjoy having fun with a group of fellow Army daughters!! We have members from age 20 to 80+, but we are all united by the common bond of growing up in Army families.
